Clear Living - Conquering Clutter with Clarity

Client Comments

“This event definitely brought clarity to what I was experiencing with my time. I learned new strategies to create more peace of mind, be productive and schedule leisure time. I enjoyed getting the list of solution ideas and the calendar practice. I learned why I need to regularly reflect on what I am doing and how I can implement new strategies. The filling out of the weekly schedule was helpful, especially after the discussion and guided meditation. I experienced more ease about being able to make new habits of scheduling tasks and I feel good about it.”

“It is great to be able to think specifically about an issue and then the solutions. I enjoyed thinking through the daily challenges and seeing how things can come together to make it easier.”

"Karen made it possible for me and my ex-husband to finally sort and pitch all our JUNK from the 1970’s. I was able to direct, delegate, request what I needed, and feel we had actually done enough. Karen is great at teaching people how to de-junk and clear their clutter. It feels so good to have the tools to accomplish the task!"

“This event was refreshing and made me excited. I enjoyed Karen’s talk. I discovered that I do not stand alone in procrastinating and it is all related to clutter and time management.”

“In Karen’s workshop I learned that systems can give me support. Now I know how to break out of this self-defeating cycle and have a different relationship with paper. I enjoyed experiencing the joy of spreading out to do my work, having the energy of others as support, and completing a big chunk of work – also loved Karen’s input!”

“Thanks Karen! Just wanted to let you know how inspiring you were. You really made us feel that we weren't 'defective' in some way because of our disorganization! I was so glad was able to attend your workshop. I am right now in the process of putting my files together and feel I've accomplished so much!”

Kathy LaRocque

“Karen’s presence made it possible for me to stay on track and work through the paperwork that accumulated over several months. She helped me create a file system to handle new mail and paperwork appropriately the first time. The color- coded sections in FIFI™ really work for me! Now, I don’t fumble with papers, wonder what to do with them, or simply stick them in bags and ignore them the way I did before I hired Karen.”

“It was really insightful to take time out to think about what I’m doing and what I need to tackle still. I enjoyed getting the clarity of what specific tasks I need to do. I realized there is support and you just have to seek it! It’s energizing to get feedback from others and support them as well. Keep up the great work!”

“This workshop exceeded my expectations. This is something I have needed for awhile, and I plan on using these strategies to finish de-cluttering my house. I enjoyed seeing my piles of paper disappear into files where they belong or into the trash can! I learned to make the time to do my sorting, calls, etc. as well as create a place to do it.”

“Thank you, thank you, thank you for your presentation last week. I enjoyed it very much and from the buzz I heard afterward, the rest of the crowd enjoyed it, too! I especially liked the advice about setting your intention, making it happen and then enjoying it. I also started putting your advice to use and organized my closets the following weekend.”

"Who would have thought the 8" X 9" X 12" plastic container and filing system could initiate such a significant change? I was never organized and tried various systems to organize my haphazard piles of papers. Karen patiently answered my questions, gave me reassurance, and encouraged me to design a system that worked for ME. I feel secure and free knowing I won't overlook or forget things, regardless of when I need to deal with it.

Karen did not judge me about my clutter and I felt hope from the moment we started. Now, I love looking at my cleared desk and floor. The outer calm gives me more equanimity throughout the day. Hiring Karen was a win for my office, home and spirit.”

Moreah Vestan

"Before I hired Karen, my house was a disaster. My best efforts only seemed to move the chaos from one room to the next. It was really embarrassing and I wouldn't even let my friends come over to visit. Karen helped me create an organized space that made sense to ME ... and now my house really feels like a home.

It is a pleasure to invite everyone over now because I have a clean, organized, and warm space to share!"

“It has been great to think about time and taking greater control of my life. I enjoyed the thought stimulating questions and suggestions. I learned that I can have greater control over my life.”

“When I contacted Karen, we had a daunting task - to move 30 people into brand-new efficiency offices with less than half the personal and shared storage space. Some of these staff members had been in their current desks for 25 years.

In an afternoon seminar, Karen helped us think differently about the "stuff" around us in a challenging and fun way. We walked out of the session with work teams, clutter-buddies, and consensus-built de-cluttering and organizational goals. Back at the office, we developed parameters for archiving the important files and gave ourselves permission to throw away years of accumulated clutter.

Since moving into our smaller desks and offices, many staff members have commented on how nice it was to "start fresh", and how surprised they were at how easily they fit into their new space. Kudos to Karen for putting us on the right track and helping us change our minds about how much "stuff" we really need!”

“It has been wonderful. I enjoyed being able to go through my boxes of paper stuff with other people doing the same thing. You provided a really good system with ideas for making it more personal. I loved the feeling of 'I’m not the only one in this boat'. Yippee!”

“I like how you addressed the emotional and psychological
aspects of clutter.”
